Paint Cover-Up

In my living room, I have this little cabinet from my grandma.

It's a simple cabinet with a few little decorative details.

Although it's been falling apart on the outside, it is still useful for storage.

But it was time to cover up some of its blemishes and peeling veneer with white paint.

Using my Silhouette, I cut out a "No. 4" stencil (for me and my three guys).

After the second coat of paint & blue No. 4 was handpainted on, I sanded the edges to add some character & age and rubbed on a finishing wax.

Still need to add knobs and accessorize...with something other than crayons. :)

Shelbey, I love it! A treasure from Grandma, distressed white, and a blue stencil -- that's way up there in my book.

I'm so glad that your mom told me about your blog! This way I can keep up a bit with you --'cause I miss connecting with you very, very much!
